Mousers

This team of cats have been a part of the farm security team from the beginning.
Below, left to right we have Mae, Marx, Mim, Mia, Joey and Spooks.  Recently joining the team is our youngest cat - Pepper. We still have not seen any rodents here at all, minus the odd gift at the doors every once in awhile.

Collies

Meet “The Girls”. All Collies with a specific job on the farm.
Herding our sheep is just as important to us as being able to round up our hens after a day of free ranging. Awesome workers and companions. We could not imagine not having them partner with us on this adventure.
Hopefully this early summer our youngest Collie will have pups. Our fingers are crossed.

Kangal LGD

Our two Turkish Kangal Livestock Guardian Shepard Dogs. Fiercely independent and quick thinking, this mated couple are forever roaming and patrolling the property and pastures.
These girls don’t mess around with predators or perceived threats to what is theirs. Brought to North America in the 1950’s to help ranchers protect livestock from Coyotes, Wolves, Cougars and even Bears - as a team they are almost unstoppable.
They both take the job seriously, but also love nothing more than a tummy rub or some grooming from the flock - it’s pretty cute to see
